5. Computer software engineers
Computer software engineers continued to be impacted by the offshoring of programming jobs.The profession saw a 10 percent decline in jobs to 970,000 by the third quarter of this year, down from more than 1 million positions in 2008.

But on the horizon, demand from businesses and government agencies to have the newest technology is expected to drive growth in both computer and mathematical occupations.

The BLS expects the sector to add 785,700 new jobs through 2018, growing twice as fast as the average for all professions. “It is anticipated that computer specialists will account for the vast majority of this growth, increasing by 762,700 jobs,” the agency reports. 

And still, the congress hands out H1B visas for the 'needed' software engineers. I am so fed up with the A*Holes in congress, bought and paid for by big business that does not care about US workers or the US economy, just their bottom line. Is it time to clean house and rid the congress of all Democrats and Republican? They are both in Big Business's pocket and not representing the people anymore. Can we do it via elections, or it is really time, As Thomas Jefferson mused, "Every generation needs a new revolution." Do we need to take to the barricades (or the streets)?

I am not suggesting armed revolution, (That would be a violation of the Patriot Act, an Oxymoron for a bill name if there ever was one), but rather the type of dissent also referred to by Jefferson to Tom Paine “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”
